Some might say you are my soul, an island in my sea
A resting place for me to stay when life has got me down
Bringing smiles to my face, when life has earned a frown

And some might say my love will never end
Growing for all time, never to descend
Some would say your eyes shine brighter than the stars
Guiding me to happiness when life has left some scars

Some would say that peace is found only in your arms
And all pain melts away when I surrender to your charms
Some would say in honesty, you mean the world to me
That God, in loving care, hath listened to my plea

And some would say that you are the rhythm to my rhyme
You bring a sense of purpose to this life that I call mine
Some would say that in the center of my universe, your very soul resides
That joy will come, and doubt depart, like the ebbing of the tides

All these things above, without a doubt are true
Describing in so many ways how I think of you

But I think that perhaps I could tell you best what you mean to me
If I told you what a thought of you did to set me free:
