The snow outside is blowing
In darkness cold does seep
On the desk, my lamp is glowing
The bed entices me to sleep
The wind is gently
calling
The moonlight shining bright
Outside the snow’s still falling
In the silence of the night
If only you were here
On this perfect winter night
Through the window I peer
Out into the land of white
The stillness of the night
Invites me to a snooze
On the couch I write
Alone I feel the blues
Here without your touch
Empty without your smile
Missing you so much
To hear your voice, I dial
The phone continues ringing
No answer to my hope
The wind continues singing
In loneliness I cope
My eyes are pulling down
At thought of you I grin
At last in dreams I drown
And smile from within
