The music soft and true
It is so full of emotion
I lose myself in the melodious view
Of the silence of my mind’s black ocean

The music rich and strong
It is so full of power
I soar with joyful song
Above the ivory tower

The music stirring and sad
So perfect in it’s form
I’m taken to dreams, my heart made glad
The calm before the storm

And now the music is over, I’m left to write my own
The notes don’t come so easy now
It makes me feel alone
The dreams they fade away
The ocean becomes untrue
Reality finds it’s way inside my mind
To music’s affect undo

The music provides the escape
I need to keep my mind
When ugliness surrounds my world
The music makes me blind
