MISINTERPRETATION

  BACK

Laughing at my failed endeavor
To immortalize my feelings
Thought I was being clever
Turned upside down by life’s wheelings

Still I struggle to inscribe my opinion
Though it materializes so off the mark
Clarifying why I constitute my own minion
And others, on my poems, will never remark

Contained in the mind of a versifier
Are exceptionally meticulous impressions
Jotting them wrong, creating a liar
Making less the ensuing confessions

Despite the resultant charade
I persist in etching my dreams
In trust that I am not betrayed
By the rendering of my minds own gleams
